Women can vote

I do not think it is fair that women were not allowed to vote until 2015 in Saudi Arabia because men and women should be equal as they are both intelligent people who deserved to be treated like they are. Other countries let women vote earlier such as 1893 (NZ) and 1902 (AUS). I believe that men and women should be treated equally not one ahead of the other.

  1. Hi Jack!

This is a really thoughtful answer! It is very well-mannered and articulate. I am sure your Mum would be super chuffed reading this :)

I think its pretty awesome that New Zealand was the first to allow women to vote and such a long time ago!
I guess this is what makes it even crazier that women in Saudi Arabia have not been able to vote until 3 years ago. It would have been nice if Kate Sheppards movement allowed for women all around the world to vote.

I don't know if you have heard about Iceland also passing a law for equal pay between men and women..? What do you think about that?
I am hoping New Zealand will follow along soon... (Fingers crossed!)

Do you think that women and men being treated equally should mean no more NBA and WNBA ....maybe the teams should be mixed?? I don't know about that one just yet in my opinion! :)

Keep up the great work Jack!
    Ellee :)

  2. hi Jack, GREAT work, and yes, I am proud of your answer. Unfortunately there are still many countries where women are not treated as equals. Another interesting fact about Saudi Arabia is that this year 2018, women will finally be allowed to drive a car themselves! Currently they have to hire a driver or get a male family member to drive them around. Imagine the inconvenience for us if I wasn't allowed to drive! I'm very pleased I live in NZ. Mum
